Scotty,
I just bought a 2007 Toyota Matrix with 94k miles. The previous owner never changed the transmission fluid. I asked my mechanic to inspect the fluid and to change it if it wasn't too dirty. He changed it. But now, unlike before it was changed, there is some delayed engagement, and it revs to 4k before shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Is this something do worry about? If so, what can I do? The mechanic refuses to acknowledge that he did anything wrong.

Did he flush the transmission fluid?

did he clean out the pan and replace the filter?
I don't know, though I'll ask.
