Hi scotty, I have a 2012 Honda Civic LX with a milligae of 189400 miles on it. The Honda Dealership wants me to change the transmission fluid because is getting dirty. Should I change the fluid?

You should inspect the fluid first. Do you know when it was changed last time?

The fluid should be changed about every 30,000 miles. I am sure the Honda dealership wants you to do a lot of things that gets them more money. You are supposed to tell them what to do, not the other way around.

I suggest you do change it, but don't let the dealership do it. They will likely do a power flush and might cause damage.
