I’ve a 2007 Chevy wt 2wd (4.8 new body style) automatic transmission. I’ve had the truck since it had 50k on it, it now has 140k. The truck has been used as a farm truck for the past few years, pulled a lot of trailers. I’ve pulled more than it is rated for a lot. The transmission slips and shifts hard sometimes, not every often mainly before the truck reaches operating temperature. The transmission fluid has never been changed. Do you recommend changing the transmission fluid? Or do you recommend changing the transmission fluid and adding Lucas transmission fix? Or do you recommend just adding Lucas transmission fix by itself?
Well it's probably worn out internally but I would not change the fluid. Now it might slip like mad. I would remove the same amount that's in the Lucas bottle. Then put a bottle of the Lucas in and pray
