Hey Scotty I have a 1998 Dodge ram 1500 SLT Laramie 4 by 4 quad cab high boy and the transmission leak oil from the bottom outside exterior the inside of the engine got wet what do you think is worth fixing or junking the truck help

Where exactly is it leaking from? If the pan gasket or even a cooler line that would be a relatively easy repair.

If the leaking line is fixed, it should be fine if you had no other problems with the trans.

My mechanic said is the cooler line but I don't know if the transmission will last after they fix the cooler line problem and add fluid for the transmission properly
Doesn't sound like an expensive repair. If the trans wasn't acting up it should be fine.
