Hey Scotty, been watching you for quite a while now, wish you were still in Houston, but with the Texas summers, I fully understand. I have a car that I don’t think I’ve ever heard you mention, a 2015 Hyundai Genesis coupe, with the 3.8 liter V6 and 8spd Automatic. I know your not a Hyundai fan, I love the car, it’s like a big go art. However, Hyundai’s customer service is another story, they suck. I’ve done all my own oil changes and regular maintenance, I have a bit over 64K miles on the car now and want to change the transmission fluid. I hate this thing doesn’t have a dipstick, but most cars don’t now. My question is do you have any idea what kind of fluid this thing uses. The dealership wants upwards of 1500 buck to do a fluid change, or if I buy the trans fluid from them they want almost 80 dollars a quart, which I think is highway robbery. The auto parts stores all list a one fits all fluid, I really would rather not go that route, the Transmission shifts perfect and I’d kind of like to keep it that way. Thank you for you thoughts and time, Drew, San Antonio, Texas
You can find somebody to change it. A lot cheaper than that. It is a Hyundai product. I personally would change the fluid every 40 or 50,000 mi
