Transmission reprogramming

Mitsubishi lancer ex 1.6 2016 automatic transmission (bought it used and had this issue ever since) , while switching from 2nd to 3rd gear the car jerks, it doesn't always happens ( once every 10 mins approximately), this car is extremely popular where I live and there is Facebook groups related to the car and it's maintenance and issues, I did a quick search and seems like there is a good amount of people with the same car having the same issue, and they were saying that the way to fix it is by reprogramming the transmission since most of them had this issue and they say it's a manufacturing flaw/defect

Car has 80k miles changed transmition fluid a couple months ago the issue didn't get better or worst stayed the same (the transmission itself was never changed or replaced) .

  • Is this legit? Will it help? Or is all that BS? I saw multiple people talking about how they have done it and it worked out for them.

I'm pretty sure those cars have front wheel drive Jatco transmissions. No amount of reprogramming can help a transmission that's not built right in the first place, Nissan also uses front wheel drive transmissions that are made by Jatco, and they're not worth the paper it was designed on.

You could try reprogramming but those transmissions stink and that often happens to him as they start to break down a big reason. I'd never buy a Mitsubishi

Thanks ill try it and see how it goes
