Trouble with headlights & wipers

Hello everyone, I have a 2012 mustang v6 premium with about 135k miles on it. I have an issue(s) that I'm unsure of where to get started on.

Basically my windshield wipers will only work on the highest setting. The washer also does not work. I believe there are 4 or 5 wiper speeds on my car. If I turn the wiper to high it works fine, but if I turn it to any lower setting the wiper just stops wherever it is on the windshield instead of returning to the off position normally. I hear no humming from any of the other wiper speed levels or the washer when I engage them.

Another issue that is likely related is that the high beam flasher does not work. Pushing the high beam stock forward however, turns the high beams on normally.

I'd also like to mention that I had an aftermarket remote starter installed about a month ago but I've had no issues since that install until today just incase that has something to do with it.

Looking forward to your responses. Thank you.

Were the wipers and high beam flasher working before the remote starter install?

Yes they were working before and after the install. I woke up this morning and hopped in my car and all the issues suddenly arose.

Bingo !!!!! Those aftermarket remote starters can be the source of many electrical gremlins. Sometimes they don't show up right away. In your case took a month to show up. I'd bet it's causing issues with your Mustang's CAN BUS. (high speed communications bus.). I had a 2014 Mustang and installed an aftermarket radio. Took a long time researching and finding one that was made specifically for the Mustang and the CAN-BUS.
