tuned 2007 chevy equinox 3.4 stroker engine

scotty this global warming and that the earth is going to end in seven years  if something is not done this year is nonsense. the temperature monitoring stations are all rigged and placed in urban areas to make it look like there is climate change, besides it is written that there is a seven year tribulation then that there is another one thousand years then a new heavens and earth. why are you so against 2005 to 2008 equinoxes. they are detuned even with those firestone tires holding it back. just put in a K and N air filter after the car is broken in. these filters cause the catalitic converter to blow up and the check engine does not come on. at about 70,000 miles i took it to monroe and they put in the metal intake manifold gasket and iridium spark plugs and new wires serpintine belt radiater hoses flushed all the fluids also you must get that red coolant and fluids flushed at 50,000 miles. the catilitic converter becomes a resonator and must stay on and the exhaust can not be modified. there was a problem with the gas cap charcoal canister and that other valve for gasoline vapors. this car does not have a power steering pump. the 3.4 is a stroked 3.1. people do not know how to make it go. you have to ease into it. all older gms and chryslers are like this car. our 1992 3.3 skylark three speed the same. put in a k and n filter the converter went away and had stainless steel exhaust and was very loud. the egr valve catalitic converter and all engine controls were invented by gm and chrysler reversed enginered everything and invented the honey comb converter. chrysler people were told by the dealers back in 1975 to put in a tank of regular and the converter will go away and run fine. i will not go near a ford. my dad was a mechanic in the air force during ww2 and said he did not like them neither do i. when buying these older gms and chryslers you had to use your common sense like do not get the chrysler 2.2 with the turbo stuff like that. on our 1979 3.8 grand prix just get the 350 transmission. took the converter off after a year then went to midas for a new muffler much better springs and shook absorbers, it was very loud but had to trade it in 1992 for the skylark because the frame rusted out. mother in 1973 came home with a big block catalina by herself and gave the 1969 fury three to my older brother, first year for the egr valve. chrysler could never make this egr vavle work so the sooner that check egr valve light came on the better. my 1975 318 fury had that problem. new chrysler v6 engines do not have an egr valve. mother gave me this 1973 catalina and was my was my first car was ziebarted and all like the fury but both rusted out under the floors. chrysler is just a slow credit no credit car company. got my credit started by buying a 1985 laser the dealer said come back at 50,000 and buy another new one. got read of it around 80,000. air conditioner went. after about a year put in autolite plugs napa coil wires distributer cap and rooter. i blew up the converter took it to midas for a muffler rear shooks and to monroe for front mcpherson struts. i inhearited a 1994 accord ex with 150,000 miles. there is nothing original on this car and it was a money pit. could not keep it going so sold it at 175,000 miles. it was nothing but an engine if maintaned. i used all american parts with american labor, about 5000.00 dolars. blew up the converter and the check engine lite does not come on. every thing went cv joints rack and pinion transmission started rusting had custom exhaust put on new radiater, oil pan always leaked oil. used those autolite iridium plugs (it is true they make the car use a lot of gas and gives it a lot of power). ball joints, idler arm all had to be replaced. used excell wires, napa distributer cap and rotors. the sun roof and all the windows were stuck open, the tachometer and odometer stopped working, could not shift from park to drive so i got a screw driver and broke the shift lock so i could drive it. stopped at autozone the other day and put a gauge on the air conditioner on the equinox and does not need refrigerant and blows a lot of cold air fine. enough coal oil natural gas for another thousand years so the epa must lift those cafes so gm and chrysler can build cars trucks and suvs with bigger two valve per cylinder push rod v6 and v8 engines and stop making four cylinder engines. When Scotty makes a recommendation he doesn't just consider the engine.

He considers the vehicle reliability and repair costs.

You can use any mid 2000 GM as an example, but let's take the Equinox as one.

All of the interior controls as well as the other vehicle electrical system components were junk.

The cheapest stuff GM could get their hands on. Back then, union legacy expenses for GM accounted for $2,000 of the price for every new car they sold. They started out $2,000 in the hole before they even started assembling a vehicle. To stay competitive they went to the cheapest Chinese suppliers they could find for parts.

Everything broke. From control knobs on the dash to electrical components and even their crummy switches and solenoids. The knobs on the dash controls were actually breaking off in the dealership showrooms on their "demo cars" when customers were checking them out.

The cost of constantly having this stuff repaired adds up and I can't think of even one good reason for a car buyer to put himself through the cost and aggravation of dealing with it when there's other choices out there

scotty the moderator (@jack62) has been saying things about my 2007 equinox that ain't true. looking on the internet there are a lot of science fiction about my car that ain't true. there is nothing wrong with the electronics and interior controls and nothing breaks and falls off. you only bye a 2007 equinox with front wheel drive and the transmission was assembled in japan. other than what i had fixed writing in my post was water in one of the headlight assemblies, bought a new one at o'reillies and monroe put it and rear shooks on just charging labor and the ignition switch problem, just spray in some wd 40 into the where the key goes in and most of the time the key will come out with no problem or just jiggle the key and it comes out. that 94 accord was so bad a piece of junk. when the valve cover gasket and oil pan had to be changed(massive amounts oy oil coming out around the drain plug) they were telling my that that engine was so filthy inside that it was unbelievable. the timing belt and cam seals were done at the honda garage and they had it all apart even the oil pan and did nothing about this problem. they charged the women i inherited this car from 1200,00 dollars for all this work just before she died. the oil was always changed on time with valvoline 10 w 40. talk about a rolling ridicules pial of junk, my sisters 2006 ridgline, had to get new cv joints spent thousands of dollars having the air conditioner torn apart and fixed twice, new mcpherson struts, i could go on and on, it is scarry to ride in on the highway and very noisy and knocks and pings on 87 gas. the new odissies are redicules, and when buying the equinox in 2007 we test drove the odissies, it was very slow and underpowered, my 1999 plymouth 3.3 voyager was much more powerfull with the blown catalitic converter and new exhaust. gms and chryslers back then where slow but got much better after they were older and broken in. even looked at the crv that year overpriced(26000,00) tiny noisey interior with the shifter in the wrong place. the moderator (@jack62) has been watching and listening to too much science fiction like john davies. Nobody likes a tattletale and if Scotty and Mrs Kilmer send me to bed without dinner I'm holding you responsible

Look, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about your Equinox as long as you like it

Jack62 stanley01 this is the last thing I am saying. Japanese and German spark plugs are terrible. You must gap auto lite iridium’s and if you want raw power use the old nascar aproved auto lites. I would use these autolites in all cars but only ac delco plugs in gm cars. That 94 Honda was slower than my 85 laser when new when the Honda garage got done working on it also I put on a car quest radiator cap with a plunger on it always do this on a old the Honda garage took it off and put on a cheap Honda radiator cap. After fulling around with that Honda I had it laying tire and really screaming.
