Blood and Fire gives Mistfall Hunter players a reason to return before Season 1 ends. The preview event arrived with the October 21, 2026 update, and its story follows a bard's ballad about a past marked by blood and fire. Complete the event tasks and you'll earn Moonlight Nectar alongside an exclusive earring cosmetic. Those rewards matter because Nectar retains its full value through the seasonal reset, while cosmetics remain unlocked. If you're already thinking about your Mistfall Hunter Gyldenblood Money and other resources for Season 2, the event is worth adding to your remaining plans. It's not the only reason to check in, either. The update introduced screens for the Season Reset and Fateweaver Shop, giving players a clearer view of what's coming. For anyone who hasn't logged in for a while, that's a useful place to start before deciding which objectives are still worth the effort.
What changed in the latest update
The October update went live at 08:00 UTC without taking the game offline, although players still needed to download a client update from their platform store. Much of the patch dealt with problems that could interrupt a run. Mercenary received four fixes, including one for a rare situation where a Blackarrow skill hit during a Perfect Block could leave the character blocking indefinitely. Another corrected an issue that let Breakaway charges stack after a Perfect Block against Super Armor. Reverent Seer's selected Rune Pillar should now stay put after using a tactical item. The team also addressed Gyldenmist damage affecting disconnected players in Hallowgrove, missing socketed gems in Smuggler Woodling gear details, and enemy footsteps disappearing during conversations with Richie the Merchant. There's a network improvement, too: latency should be better when Returner Woodlings spawn. None of these changes is the headline attraction, but they should make familiar encounters feel less frustrating.
Better rewards and less time spent grinding
Loot is one of the biggest subjects heading into Season 2. The developers say overall drop rates will rise, so getting a character equipped shouldn't take quite as long. Don't expect every improvement on launch day, though. Some are due to arrive later in the season. Players who found Soul Harvest too demanding will get a new seasonal mode with its own exchange shop, and the team says earning items from that shop will require much less grinding. A shard exchange system is also planned to make important camp upgrade materials easier to obtain. Combat Bags should remain more readily available through events, while forging is set to become more cost-effective. Gear affixes from Combat Bags are also due for adjustments intended to improve rewards from the Scavenger Squad. On the practical side, planned additions include a Gem Warehouse, an Unequip All option for gems, and settings to mute camp mail reminders or skip the drinking animation. Starter gear is also expected to be destroyed automatically after Quick Equip.
Plans for the reset and beyond
There's still a difference between a confirmed direction and a feature with a delivery date. A dedicated extraction method for victorious players in Brandrgarde is planned for a future season, while work continues on adding skills, talents and supplies to the loadout screen. The team also intends to review requests for exact skill and talent numbers and pay closer attention to melee and ranged performance in future boss designs. Some requests aren't currently planned: US West and Middle East servers, Duo Mode, and an option to leave bot matchmaking are off the list. Trio teams will still be able to choose the same class more than once, with mechanical changes planned for problems such as repeated crowd control and burst damage. Before the reset, focus on Blood and Fire and check how your remaining assets convert into Gyldenblod Leaves for the Fateweaver Shop. Whether you're weighing those purchases or considering cheap Mistfall Hunter Gyldenblod for the new season, keep some room in your plans: the full rollout will take time.
