Hi Scotty,
I recently purchased a camper 1,700lbs. Looking to buy a Toyota SUV. I really want a 4th Generation 4Runner but it seems I’m looking at the most popular car for sale in the area. I’m considering lowering my expectations to either an older model Tundra, Highlander or possibly a Honda Ridgeline or Pilot. Any thoughts on which year of 4Runner you prefer or any of the other models above?
I love you advice and go Vols!
Just to confirm I’ve been looking at 4Runners with under 150k miles and looking to spend under $15,000.
4Runners are good trucks right through. Find one in price range that is in your budget. Test drive it. Do an overall inspection of it, … and if you still like it at that point, splurge on thorough inspection by a good independent mechanic.
He/she gives you a green light on the condition, … go and negotiate the best price and drive with it away. End of deciding, …
F.S.
Nothing wrong with getting an older Tundra. They can last as long as the 4Runners if you take care of them.
