2009 GMC Sierra Extended Cab SLT z71 5.3l (Engine VIN "O")
Thats right and unidentified flying chip. I opened the hood to clean the Mass Airflow Sensor like in your videos and there is a chip hanging from the wires that go to the MAS.
The best I can tell the name says GR---CE. The middle part of the name is rubbed off.
I think these vehicles have the the Active Fuel Management system that drops the V8 to the V4. I thought that it was it but have no idea.
Anything on the radar?

Yup...its a GForce Chip. Essentially a completely useless plastic piece. They made a bunch of wild claims about performance gains, but in reality it didn't do anything.
That does not look like stock to me seems like someone's replaced that intake part with an aftermarket part. So it could be some type of tuning thing for the aftermarket bar
Thank you. I've watched most of your videos and followed the procedures. They really help people like us, thank you. Not stock for sure. What the heck does it do? Air fuel mixture? Return to the mother ship? Who knows?
Looks like inthrustwetrust found it online. A 69$ piece of plastic. https://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2015/gforce-performance-chip-scam.shtml
No defiantly not stock. It was there when i bought the truck and want to just take it off, but what will it do?
Hey Just saw that link. It doesn't do anything!! Wow who are these people? Why would they do that? Thanks for the link.
No idea! If you’re not confident to remove it yourself, take it to your mechanic & have them remove it for you. Hopefully nothing was damaged by that chip.
