Hi Scotty love your channel!
Do you think it would be crazy to pay about 21k for a 2017 mazda 3 top trim with about 11k miles? I test drove it and it handled nicely and am planning to take it to a mechanic. Would like my first car to last to 100k miles!
Brand New MSRP: $25.000
???
Isn't a Corolla & Civic $21,000 brand new?! Why waste your time (and money) with a used Mazda for such a high price?
Heck, get a used Camry/Accord with that money..
Yeah Im conflicted. I'm guessing the mainstream true car prices don't reflect reality. According to those sites it would be a fair price.
It is a used car dealer chasing that "premium" feeling by offering low mileage newer model year vehicles. Would come with a lifetime warranty.
It's msrp at sale was around ~29
What are the terms & conditions of this claimed ‘lifetime warranty’? Sounds like a scam to me, especially if they’re charging you for it.
part of that 21k probably is in the features, it is the top tier, so think of it like getting a luxury package rather than just a standard car. now I will not suggest buying a car at 21k when a similar is brand new at that much but its your money.
"LIFETIME ENGINE
We stand behind every car we sell. If anything goes wrong with your engine, we’ll replace it — for the full length of ownership."
Sadly their website doesn't list too many specifics
Sounds too good to be true. And certainly not something I’d be willing to pay $21,000 for. Like I said, you can get a brand new Corolla/Civic with OEM factory warranty for the same price.
Why bother paying that much when you can get them with 30 40k miles for a lot less? It may seem like a lot more miles now but that's a difference of only 20-30k miles, in long-run won't matter as much. If you like the Mazda 3, 2014-2017 are good years just try to stay under 15 grand. For that price you could get a new car.
That's a good idea appreciate the input!
It is a good vehicle, but the price is way to high.
Thanks for the input! I agree the price is high wondering if the lifetime engine guarantee on offer would make the price any more stomach-able.
I would be leary of their lifetime guarantee. What does it cover? What do they consider lifetime?
You can definitely find better deals eleswhere
Couldn't really find anything in my area with similar fundamentals
I would suggest looking either at a new car, or if you want luxury maybe getting a car with a v6 or such. chevy impalas are generally the same or close to that price for similar amounts of miles and you can fit alot of stuff in the trunk of one of those, they're pretty reliable, (although there are more reliable cars out there.) and you can still get the features like qi charging and remote start. 2018-2019 will probably be in that price range at 50k miles (and thats on the high end for miles.)
Yeah but a lot of gm products aren't that good so is a chevy really worth it though?
Either I'm going crazy, or the used car market is insane.
You can get a brand new base model for $21,000.
Yeah I think the market is crazy, it is worth noting the list price is like 18.5 the 20,400 is the true price after taxes fees registration

I wouldn't buy any Chevy Impala. My personal opinion, and I think many would agree with me, is that GM quality is terrible and they have a ton of recalls because of bad quality control and fall apart after a few years. Save your money and stick to a less expensive 2014-2017 Mazda or maybe a Toyota.
Yeah I prefer honda/toyata/mazda. A family member has an 07 camry with 160000mi that runs almost like the day we got it
