Hi Scotty, I'm looking to buy a used car, and came upon the 2nd generation Volkswagen Touareg TDI. What are your opinions?

I'm a VW enthusiast (shock and horror) and even I know it takes a certain personality to buy and care for one of these vehicles. Since you are asking about it here, I don't think you have what it takes to get a Touareg TDI. This applies to both US and Europe as it's a well known meme in VW circles about how unreliable and expensive Touaregs are, especially the various diesels.
