Hello there,
Should I keep our reliable 2007 diesel CRV (120,000miles), or go for a used Volvo (V70, XC60 - perhaps an XC90) of the same age for the sake of safety and longevity?

You want longevity? I'd go for the Honda versus Volvo any day these days
