friend has completely rebuilt 292 chevy straight six (5 years ago) now has 3,300 miles. is it necessary to retorque the cylinder head bolts; and readjust the valves? It is all stock w/ all new parts. Thank you for your time & professionalism, Jeff . PS- there is no mechanical issues w/ the engine...

You might check the valves, but the heads don't need retarding on those old things
