So I have my 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer with a 2.0L and each time on a cold start if it hasn’t been started in a day or so the engine will tick for the first ten seconds it sounds like the valves making all the noise. This engine has no lifters or adjustable valves. The engine also sometimes rev up a little more and Seems like it kinda cuts off I have a video here on YouTube

Live with it cuz you would have to take the engine apart and work on the valves and cams just drive it
