I have an 2005 infinity g35 coupe with 172,985 miles and is automatic. my brake light and vdc off light will just come on. The brake light will go off after awhile but the vdc off still stays on and so I have to pullover and turn off the car and then back on for it to go away. i have no clue what it could be and I've messed up my last car to much and wanna know how to do it right before it start fixing stuff
So would you recommend buy a scanner or taking it somewhere and have them scan it

Are you prepared to spend thousands of dollars on a high end scan tool? If not then pay a good mechanic do it. (Avoid dealers and chain shops.)
Well, you're going to need a guy like me with a high-level scanner to analyze it. Those are complex systems and when those lights are on there's some kind of code stored and you're going to have to figure out what it is
