Vehicle lost power while driving

2011 chevy equinox automatic with about 134,000 miles. So I was driving and my vehicle lost power like would happen if I had a bad battery or bad alternator. But I had battery checked its fine. I cleaned my connectors for battery as it had acid build up. And power is fine now. But my vehicle now says low oil pressure turn off engine. I checked the fill cap and it has a light brown color like when some water mixes with oil. I checked my oil dip stick and the oil is low and its about a rust color. And I looks under my vehicle and I have black oil on the ground. Mind you I didnt even have so much as a low oil light before I lost power. Not is seems like im leaking oil. Is it possible I broke something when I lost power while driving and was still trying to get on the gas?

The low oil pressure warning usually comes up when you’re about to seize up your engine, so there’s a possibility that there has been a lot of damage already done.

Personally, I’d just replace the oil and see what’s going on.

I advise you to go to a mechanic that has a lot of experience on those, trust me you don’t want a clown that will just throw parts at it…
