So i have a 2008 volvo xc70 3.2 with 220k on it. recently it started to behave strange when going uphill from 2nd gear. it pauses somewhere around 2500, drops a bit like it looses power, picks up and goes on to 3rd and 4th normally. during this the the whole car shakes for a few seconds (not the steering wheel) and when you get to cruising speed (110kmh) everything is fine.
is this a gear problem, or a driveshaft problem. there are no fault codes on the dash. cant seem to crack this one before taking it to diagnose.
Sounds like a problem with the transmission but you've got 200k+ miles out of this car so your doing good. Baby it and hopefully you make it to 300k and by then it'll probably be time to say goodbye to the car and get something else. GL and don't worry about taking anywhere
