Hello everyone!
My father has a problem when cold starts this car. It’s a kind of rattling with interruptions. When the engine is hot no problems at all. He was at a mechanic and postponed him after holidays because he couldn’t find the issue. He said to open the gasket. Did anyone encounter this maybe in a golf or jetta. Im from Europe. Can you scan it to see codes?
There can be many things like vacuum leak, mass airflow sensor, coolant temperature sensor, injectors etc.
Any mechanic should have a scan tool to help you if you don't have one.

If there is no code, you need a higher level scan tool to get the live data.
