Hello Scotty
I am living in ireland.
I have VW Polo 2002 1.4 cc with automatic gearbox, 160000 km so far.
Everytime I start the car when it is cold, I get a red temperature 🌡️ light on the dashboard. It then disappear when the I start it again when the car becomes warm.
I changed the coolant temperature sensor but the problem exist.
I would appreciate your advice.
Thanks
Alsamoal

Can you post an imgur photo of the warning light/symbol?

I don't volcan's rolling piles of junk in their electronical wacky as the age as long as you're not losing any coolant in the car runs the correct temperature and doesn't overheat I personally would just leave it alone but if you change the coolant temperature sensor that might fix it

Thanks very much
It has been going like this for almost 2 years. Laughing Out Loud Laughing Out Loud

Depending on which light is illuminating, it may be the transmission which is overheating.

It's a brilliant website you share.
It the coolant light on.

No worries mate. Since you say it’s been like this for 2 yrs, it’s most likely just the sensor. Did you change it with an OEM sensor? Is all the wiring to the sensor, good?
