Hey Scotty!
I have a 2012 Scion xB with 184,361 miles w/automatic transmission. I have noticed water leaking from under the glove compartment on the passenger side and the joot and carpet on the passenger side is wet. I have been hearing a little hissing noise from the AC over the last few days. Could there be a leaking problem from my AC Compressor. I replaced my ac compressor a year ago with a new one. My new compressor still blows freezing cold air and there is no sign of low freon. How can I stop this water leak? Help!!!
I found the answer to my problem! I discovered Scotty's video "How to fix carpet damage from leaking AC system". The drain hose from my evaporator case was clogged up. So I am going to see if I can clean out the evaporator case and unclog the drain hose.
As far as the wet carpet, it could be that the drains for the HVAC system are clogged or you might have another leak like the windshield gasket letting rain in.
