I have a 2020 Tacoma SR - 4x4 2.7L engine - automatic trans - 48K miles - Bought new.
This isn't a major problem, but the Toyota dealer has no clue as to what it might be. It started at about 20K miles.
Every once in a while... Sometimes months apart... Something electrical goes wrong where the cruise control (Adaptive also)/automatic braking/lane warning ... Just stops working. The rest of the truck runs just fine, I just lose these features. And get the 'See your dealer' warning in the dash.
Weird thing is... If I stop for a little bit (Say to stop and fill up with gas) the problem goes away. Now sometimes it won't happen again for months. Other times it'll happen again in the next 30 miles. Usually, if it happens again quickly, it will do it several more times... And then not do it again for quite awhile.
It doesn't matter what the weather is, hot/cold/summer/snow/etc.
And of course, it throws no codes... So without throwing a code the Toyota dealer just shrugs their shoulders and say 'I `dunno.....'
Like I say, this is not a 'major' thing, but it's very irritating at times. Any idea what to look for/at?
Thank you!

They're being lazy. They should be able to do bidirectional testing of those systems. Chances are all of those failures have a common cause like a wonky sensor. (Of course playing devil's advocate it is difficult to track down an intermittent problem that can't be duplicated at will.)
