Weird Oily Residue in Console Area of Dodge Ram 2500

Hi Scotty,

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel. I recently had a new water pump, serpentine belt and fuel rail serviced. I am not sure if this issue is or can be related? I noticed an odd smell in the cab recently. Looking around the front and back passenger area of the cab, the only thing I could find was a weird (dark honey-ish) colored oily residue leaking onto the carpet between the driver and passenger at the base of the console. Could this have anything to do with the heater/A.C. having problems. Does not smell or seem to have the viscosity of Engine Oil although that is what it looks like on first glance. Where do I start to find the issue and solution/fix?

Thanks in advance,

If you do have heater AC problems yeah a leaking evaporator core will leak AC oil and it's real slimy it'll make a mess
