What are a few good vehicles to use for a Rural Carrier with the United States Post Office?
Title says it all.

New? Used? Your budget? Need right-hand drive?
AMC Eagles used to be very popular for that duty but their time has passed.

I would be curious just how rural, what state, are winters bad, flooded areas etc?
Some say Honda CRV/Toyota Rav4, and an awd version would be a solid choice if you live in an area that warrants it.
If your mailboxes are not too far away, a Rav4 hybrid might make a good choice. Often you could go with just the electric motor between some mailboxes.
The electric motor also seems to be easier on the transmission, as seen by the ridiculously high mileage prius all over the place, including taxis.
