Hello Scotty! I watch your content for a while and I find it very interesting and helpful, now I know you might be very busy answering tons of questions but I need your opinion!
I live in UK, I am 23 and I am about to pass my driving test, and I would like some recommendations from someone with experience like you to suggest some car brands or even models that would be good to try as a beginner, or as a first car, I looked online of course but nothing seem to be helpful, my goals with the car would be to use it in long rides, travelling from country to country, and just enjoy the car while building experience (of course I know the first car it wouldn’t last forever and I might change it after the first 2-3 years or even 5) I am so lost Scotty! Please help me! 🙂

Most of us here are not familiar with the cars available in the UK. In the US the standard answer would be Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic.

Like @chucktobias suggested, a Civic or Corolla would be great first car. At the same time, I understand the UK has different models, and the Civic and Corolla are “cheaper” in the US, they may be more “expensive” in the UK, relatively speaking.

So other Honda or Toyota choices may be good first cars. Like the Aygo, CH-R, HR-V, ZR-V, Fit. There are so many to choose from.
