Scotty,
I hope you are well. I am looking at a 2011 Toyota Tacoma with a 4.6 L V8 engine with 128,000 miles on it. I will be using this truck here in Montana, so I will be driving long distances with it and using the 4x4 feature to get into good hunting and fishing spots. What are your thoughts? Looks like this model has a timing chain, which is a good feature. What's a good ballpark to offer the dealer?
I was looking at 4runners as well, but I think the Tundra is more up my alley.
Best,
Michael
The Tacoma does not come with a V8 engine.
Taco's only came with 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder engines.
Tundras are great pickup trucks. It'll probably last you forever and ever. I'd say anything under 16-17k would be a pretty good deal depending on the condition. Have it checked out by a mechanic before you buy though, just to be safe. And check for rust.
