Hey Scotty,
I bought a 1991 Geo Metro convertible with a 1.0L. Just for a fun, inexpensive hobby car to play around with. The guy I bought it from said his dad's a mechanic and had the head milled, due to an overheat. The car runs well, but the temperature gauge will float between 1/4 to just over half. Not consistent. What may cause this fluctuation?

Thermostat, coolant temp sensor, weak coolant, head gasket.....
