When the water pump is faulty, you should replace that for an o.e.m. one.
When your timing belt is due now, or soon -due to miles and/or years-, I would replace that too as you have to take the belt off in replacing the pump.
When doing that it is wise to change the tensioner and idler pulley too (the pulley's bearing wears).
I guess the repair manual dedicated to your car will suggest what to replace when doing the waterpump.
Thank you I'll keep that in mind
what else I should change like I said in the process of changing my water pump
Best practice would be using an OEM water pump and a 'timing belt kit'.
Thanks I'll keep that in mind as well
