Hello Scotty, hope you are enjoying your stay in Rhode Island. I have a 2012 Toyota Camry L 2.5 4cyl a bit less than 130 k miles. When I don't press the throttle to much and just kinda cruising the car stutters on very low rpms. This usually happens between 1000 and 2000 rpms only. No codes, no check engine lights. Do you think it could be the tranny going out that early on a Toyota Camry? I changed the spark plugs and inspected the ignition coils just in case. Coils seems to be fine and I put new spark plugs and still does the same thing . What should I do ? Any suggestions, advices and helpful tips would be appreciated .
P.S. Car was salvaged by an insurance company and I bought it from Copart with a front left bumper and fender damage.
check the easy stuff first:
- vacuum leaks
- air filter
- clean the MAF
- make sure battery+alternator are good
- then try more drastic things like injector cleaning
or get yourself a diagnostic tool like Bluedriver and check fuel trims etc.
