I’m curious what people are having the best luck with. Back in the day my Dad always stayed away from Champion. If one fouled….it was usually a dead Champion.
OEM
I stick with NGK for my daily driver since the spark plugs are used as knock sensors and that's what is specified for that setup to work properly. Overall NGK seems to be a good choice anyway.
I have used Autolite and AC Delco in my other vehicles even though Champion was original equipment on at least some of them (Rambler). Champion seems to have had a spotty reputation for a long time.
I agree with @imperator on oem, as I mostly drive Toyota, and they usually use Denso from my experience.
However, as @chucktobias mentioned, NGK is a very good brand, and my 98 Toyota 4Runner actually came with 3 Denso, and 3 NGK spark plugs!
To me, both Denso and NGK are very good brands, and I would use either in my cars, but often I find Denso Cheaper.
I have never had an issue with Spark plugs using either brand.
Denso
Denso or NGK for Toyota and Honda (and probably most Japanese cars).
Bosch for BMW’s (and probably most German cars). I think NGK may suffice for BmW and German as well.
