I love these cars but just wanted an experience mechanics opinion.

since it's a 1995 it is going to NOT work with obd2 code readers which is very bad. I would avoid it personally its almost guaranteed to be a car that's been abused and the insurance is probably not going to be pretty either. You are much better off looking at a 350z due to the amount of them and the parts available. I love the 300zx it's a gorgeous car but it's spiked in value so much due to how costly it is to fix things much like old bmws, audis, mercedes. I'm not a mechanic but i can tell you that the likelyhood of something going bad is high.
