Im looking at a 1997 toyota avalon XL near me with 210k, asking 600, but it has quite a few issues. They state that it has some electrical problems(power locks, windows, a/c working but not heater, window wipers) aswell as having power steering issues and alignment being a little off. Some of the doors don't work either, but I can look past the electrical (minus the wipers, it could be fuses but I also could be wrong) and things I have to repair I am willing to. I saw scotty's video on these cars, and that it could be the steering rack, and if so, what should I offer if it runs and drives good? Are these reliable cars? I dont drive a ton, about 1-2k miles per year. There really isnt a very large used car market near me, so whenever a car pops up on craigslist that isnt a dumpster fire it gets picked up before I even have a chance to hop on it.
Nothing. Offering anything would honestly be a waste of money. Save up and get something better overall.
