What to do about discontinued car parts

Hey Scotty I drive a 1997 manual Celica with 210,000 miles on the odometer. It’s runs well and I’ve experienced little problems with it but the interior belt weatherstrip on the drivers side door has worn out substantially after many years and has deteriorated quite a bit with gaps present between it and glass. I would replace it but in searching official Toyota parts websites have found that it’s discontinued. What would be the best way to work around this?

Thanks,

John

Scour the web for aftermarket parts. Other than that, get creative with available materials.
