Dear Scotty,
I am torn between two different vehicles. A 2005 Toyota Tacoma 2wd with 160k miles on it, no rust with a brand new frame and a 2011 Toyota Camry SLE with a 128k. Both are in tremendously good shape. This would be a daily driver, just looking for an opinion on which vehicle would be the better investment. I appreciate the opinion.
The fact that you're even considering a sedan means you don't need a truck.
If you're just commuting then the Camry is the right choice. Your wallet will thank you.
That is a hard comparison as they are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Cars like this are not an investment as they will never go up in value. I could definitely see the truck being more wanted and easier to sell than the camry.
Trucks are cooler than mother in law type sedans
is that you Joe Diffie?
my gut says Camry
The first question to ask yourself is "Will I ever use the truck bed?" That's the whole point of owning a truck. If the answer is no, buy the Camry. The US and EU won't lift sanctions on Russia. Oil corporations are taking advantage of the situation to make up for their losses during covid. You will see $5+ a gallon at the pump in a few weeks.
You have to ask yourself if you really need the truck. Best thing to have are FRIENDS with pickups!!!!
Both of them are very reliable vehicles so it comes down to which one you want more. The Tacoma will get worse gas mileage tho.
Newer vehicle and lower mileage... go with the Camry
