Ford 3rd Generation Coyote 5.0L. Definitely up there.

For absolute worst, I'd say the Jaguar V12. And before anybody links to YouTube and Car Wizard, I've seen his vids. But I get these cars in all the time, and if I have to solve one more overheating issue on one of these I'm going to snap out. The design was an epic fail. Plus....they don't even make much power when healthy!

Now we know why you don’t sleep in 4 days..

{blackemo}:laughtertotears: Its true

Haha how did I know that @mod_man would be one of the first to comment the ol 3 gen 5.0.

Couldn’t agree more though.

@USAFdozerpilot Haha hey truth is truth my friend.

Now those engines have cylinder deactivation, at least in the 2021+ MY F-150.

For the last ten years they would include: Fiat ecodiesel, Hyundai Theta engines...

Worst motors

MG Rover... failure rate 1 in 13

Audi... failure rate 1 in 27

MINI... failure rate 1 in 40

obviously I didn’t give a specific motor but I think what I put above sums it up.

Those are all bad motors, no arguing that. Lol you don't need to give a specific motor because it's bad pretty much across the range, particularly with Audi. MG Rover yeah, we all know you never rely on a British made car. And MINI quality has spoken for itself over the years...its never been good.

Mazda Wankle engines mid 60s.  Any British made motor.

That aluminum four cylinder they put in the Chevy Vega the first few years.

If you could get it past 50,000 miles it had been on borrowed time for quite a while.

Ford engines with the water pump driven by a timing chain.  What can possibly go wrong?!

Possibly the Chevrolet "Series M Copper Cooled" engine. Not many were sold, but they were so bad that all were recalled and destroyed by Chevrolet.

Toyota 2JZ engine. Toyota underpowered them.

Wait....what? The 2JZ is a bad motor? {black}:suspicious:

Just making a joke that it was bad because they basically over engineered that engine.

Yes very underpowered:
Applications:

Toyota Altezza AS300/Lexus IS300
Toyota Aristo/Lexus GS300
Toyota Crown/Toyota Crown Majesta
Toyota Mark II/Toyota Chaser/Toyota Cresta
Toyota Origin
Toyota Progres
Toyota Soarer / Lexus SC300
Toyota Supra

Yeah, it’s full potential was around 1000HP. They underpowered them for the lineup listed.

VM Motori’s 3.0 Ecodiesel V6

How about the diesels that GM made from gasoline engines.

Add to the growing list above any engine with cylinder deactivation.
