Hi Scotty, I have a 1995 Nissan Altima 2.4L automatic car. Mileage 239,000. Scanned it recently and got a PO340 code. Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit.(Bank 1 or single sensor). The mechanic replaced the distributor but the problem continues. Is the sensor located in the distributor.
I may need to replace the computer on the car as well, as the car was recently flooded out and I'm now getting a battery and e-brake lights on the dashboard.
Thanks for your advice.
Yes the sensor is inside the distributor and that old thing everything's probably Warren so you might try having a fuel injectors pressure cleaned cuz they have to spray extra gas when the engine is cold but of course I worn fuel pump when it's cold takes a little cranky to get a working all kinds of things needed it's that old and it starts I wouldn't worry too much about it
