So i got a used car and the owner im sure didnt change the rear differential fluid so is it fine if i change it the car has 160k miles on it and its a mustang 2008 v6 the car rides smoothly no issues

it's fine to replace the fluid

Never a bad idea to place the differential fluid if you are unsure of when the previous owner had replaced it. Better safe than sorry!
