I am a 16 year old looking to buy a Toyota Matrix as my first car. Where do you recommend I look at to buy a Toyota Matrix? I have constantly been looking at OfferUp and Craigslist, and do you recommend the normal Toyota Matrix, the XR, or the XRS? Also, what models and years should I look into buying a Toyota Matrix?

Almost any website where they sell cars is OK. Anyway you should roadtest it and have it checked by a mechanic if you like it. Usually last two years of a generation are the most perfected.

I think they are a little hard to come by these days. Used ones are out there, but I don’t see much of those as compared to a Corolla or Civic on the market.
Hi Avoid the models which have the 4cylinder 2AZ-FE engine due to oil consumption.
Note that the Pontiac Vibe has the same engine, transmission, suspension. Not quite as good, but often available at a big discount vbs the Matrix.

I would check the Craigslist/Autotrader private seller options. Buying a car like that from a dealer means you will almost certainly have to overpay.
