HI everybody. I have a 2000 dodge stratus 2.4l engine. i had a blown head gasket and decided to fix it myself. it was going pretty good until i ran into this. I cant figure out where this goes I even went to the dodge dealership parts department to see if they knew where this plug into and they didn't know. I know it has to be somewhere around the distributor cap because the square plug, plugs into the distributor cap. I have no idea where this round one goes. I've looked but i cant find it. any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are some pictures.
Next time, label everything with a paint pen or a piece of tape so it can go back together correctly. Take pictures, too.
Well I'd have to see it in person but maybe it's a knock sensor look around the flashlight anything that's near where that will reach it has to be there somewhere unless it is an extra wire for an option your car didn't have is they make cars with wiring harnesses then often have parts your car does not have to plug into
I found out where it goes. It plugs into the oxygen sensor on the rear manifold
