Which alternator is better?

It is for my 07 Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor, almost 100k miles. I need to replace the alternator. The pulley is starting to go bad. When I look at the prices, it might be better to replace the whole alternator, even though it's still charging well. Is the PURE ENERGY 66305HDN High Output good? There is also Adelco, but the price is a bit high. Motorcraft also has one. There are also remanufactured ones for sale as well. Which one should I choose?

Never heard of "Pure Energy" brand. I would expect OEM Motorcraft to be best. Remanufactured alternators can be a real crap shoot unless maybe you have yours rebuilt by a reputable local rebuilder.

@chucktobias Theirs only costs $88.79

I've had very good service from NAPA rebuilt alternators in the past but have not had to buy one in years. At this point I expect their quality has gone down like nearly everything else, probably sent out to China or Mexico to be "rebuilt".
