Scotty I’m looking for a secondary vehicle one to have fun in. I’m looking at a 1991 Nissan Pathfinder se 4wd with 181,000 miles and a 1994 Ford Explorer xlt 4wd with 172,000 miles. Both trucks run and drive and both are the same price which one is better.

@hinesdl
Japan is always better.

They are both tanks. Which motors in each one and does either one have positraction or a limited rear slip axle? The one with posi or lsd rear end is the one to get.

@biggestrichcranium
Explorer has the 4.0 v6 no lsd
Pathfinder has the 3.0 v6 and I think it has it although I thought they only had them if they had disc brakes which this one has drums

Damn both are good engines. Find out if one has limited slip or positrac. If not able to find out, a Marti Report for the ford will tell you what it came with from the factory. The nissan is solid build but parts may be harder to come by, therefore get the explorer and enjoy
