Hi Scotty,
Looking to buy a manual Corolla for my son. Probably something a model between 2007 and 2015. Are there any issues with cars in any of these years and is there anything I should look for when looking for a manual (or stick shift) car?
Enjoy your very informative videos.

Check that the clutch isn't slipping, that the release bearing isn't noisy (clutch pedal pushed in), the pilot bearing isn't noisy (clutch pedal released), clutch engagement is smooth, clutch releases fully, gear changes are smooth, the shifter doesn't pop out of gear under acceleration, and that the transmission doesn't make any bad noises.

Useful if you have as same engines as Americans or intend to import one from there. Otherwise get familiar with the engines and their reliability.
