Scotty,

Love your channel and content, thank you for what you do. We're in need of a reliable full size 4x4 pickup truck for our ranch/farm work. Our goal is to spend less than $10K, will consider anything brand other than a Dodge. Any suggestions?

Thanks again

I would say look at either a Ford or a GMC. Realizing that price range. You want a 4x4 full size truck? It's either going to be really high mileage or it's going to have some problems though. Understand new ones cost about 80 grand up

Late 90s through mid-2000s 4x4 Ford trucks are OK, but any truck that old must be gone over with a trustworthy mechanic before laying out cash.

Don't completely discount old Dodge products. My father-in-law has a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 with a Cummins turbodiesel. It's not a 4x4, but, every time he's attempted to start it, it fires right up after 221k miles. It's rusted to heck, but the frame is still solid as can be. The oil sensor sending unit is bad, and the radio works when it wants. If you're using it as a farm truck, you don't really need a radio.
