White smoke

Hello Scotty and other mechanics, my 01 Honda Civic has white smoke(thick) coming out of the exhaust, there is oil on my oil dipstick so I don’t think it’s burning oil but there is a burning smell in the smoke? Anyone got any ideas on what it could be?
thanks

White smoke indicates moisture...it will burn off as the exhaust system becomes heated up.   if it continues and the car is fully warmed up then thats another situation where you could have a blown head gasket and coolant loss.

Bluish smoke indicates oil is being burned in the exhaust system and your dipstick should show less and less oil level.
