Hello i bought a 2016 f50 XLT 3.5 flex fuel when ever am stopped at a light for a good time or at a drive through even if it's cold out and i have heater on the fans will turn on and off but truck doesn't over heat what could it be? I took it to dealership they said it's normal because of a plate behind the engine that heats up i just want to make sure there not lying to me.

because the AC condenser (which runs even when you're using heat) needs to be cooled

When the vehicle is not moving the engine will heat up enough even in cold weather that the cooling fan needs to turn on to prevent overheating.
