Why Does a 2005 Ford E250 Van Start up by itself without a key in the ignition after reconnecting the battery with a bad alternator?
Whenever my father gets a bad alternator on his 2005 ford e250 van with over 145,000 miles on it, sometimes after reconnecting the battery that was fully charged it with a portable charger, It starts up on its own but the computer still works. He is very good with maintenance and the vehicle runs almost flawlessly. What causes this to occur and why does it occur after my father disconnected the remote start on it?
