My 2011 Maxima died while I was driving it and now it will not start. It cranks but doesn't start. I can hear my fuel pump running. Does this vehicle have a crank sensor history? Please advise as to most likely culprit.

A clogged fuel filter will stop a car dead. How old is it? Is fuel pressure up to specification at the fuel rail?
A quick check to see if the problem is fuel or spark is to spray a little starting fluid into the intake and crank the engine over. If it briefly starts then you have spark but no fuel. If it does not fire up at all you have no spark. (This assumes that the engine is OK internally.)
