My 1998 GMC Sierra seems to have lost all top end power. And it doesn't want to shift out of first when I floor it. It has 250k on it. I do all of the maintenance. Every fluid has been replaced within the last 10k miles. The gas mileage is typical around town. What's your thoughts on why my power curve flattens out and won't shift out of 1st until I let off the gas

Your transmission is acting up. Have a transmission pro check it.
