Why would my 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS stick shift going to gear RPM shoot up but it does not go anywhere?
We just put tranny fluid in it and when shifting it is sometimes hard to move the shifter into each gear. It was moving at a very slow pace before putting the tranny fluid in it but after putting the fluid in it doesn't want to move at all.
Mileage?

If this is a manual transmission (you said "stick") your clutch is shot. You don't put "tranny fluid" in a manual transmission. It uses gear oil, usually 85w90.
Especially if he’s still on the original clutch.
